Multi-Vehicle Collisions in Illinois

Officials with the Federal Highway Administration report over 2.5 million intersection collisions every year. The bulk of these incidents revolves around drivers who are distracted or attempting to make a lefthand turn. According to authorities, nearly 42% of all motor vehicle accidents that take place in the United States play out at these crossroads.

Sadly, Cook County is home to a large number of automobile collisions, most of which occur at heavily-traveled intersections. In addition, as reported by state authorities, about 25% of all vehicle crashes within the state of Illinois happen in and around the metropolitan area of Chicago.

When an accident victim sustains injuries due to the careless conduct of another, they could end up paying for it in every sense of the phrase. Irrespective of what incited the collision, victims are often compelled to walk a formidable path, fraught with exorbitant medical expenses and crippling psychological and economic stress.

If a victim of an Illinois automobile crash sustained injuries caused by another driver’s distracted or careless driving, they are entitled to pursue financial compensation via the state’s legal system. Since it is notoriously difficult to obtain fair economic recovery from negligent drivers or their dubious insurance companies, it is important for crash victims to hire qualified legal counsel.
