Motorcycle Accidents Causing Serious Injuries in Illinois

Accidents involving motorbikes are far too frequent in the state of Illinois, especially in densely populated cities like Chicago. In consequence, these accidents commonly result in severe injuries or fatalities. The most recent figures compiled by the Illinois Department of Transportation suggest that around eighty percent of motorcycle accidents result in severe injuries.

More than thirty percent of wounded motorcyclists get incapacitating injuries that require several months or even years to heal. Sadly, motorcyclists frequently perish as a result of injuries sustained in collisions such as this. Motorcycles have far less preventative and defensive safety features than passenger vehicles, making riders more vulnerable to dangers on the road.

When these people are killed in an accident that was not their fault, their devastated family members are forced to endure immense mental anguish as well as substantial financial consequences. If you or a loved one were injured or a family member was murdered in a motorcycle accident caused by another party’s negligence, you may have legal recourse moving forward. When a loved one is killed in a preventable accident in Chicago, contact an attorney for injuries suffered in accidents immediately.
