Chicago, IL – Eight People Hospitalized After Apt Complex Explosion in South Austin
Chicago, IL (September 20, 2022) – According to authorities, an explosion on the top floor of a Chicago apartment building on Tuesday resulted in the hospitalization of eight people.
According to officials, the explosion happened at 9:00 a.m. at the 36-unit, four-story apartment complex in South Austin. A few hours later, Chicago Fire Agency Deputy Chief Marc Ferman informed reporters that the department had completed its search for possible casualties and was certain that no one was still trapped in the structure, the bulk of which had fallen.
