Chicago, IL – Enrique Martinez Killed in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Ogden Ave

Chicago, IL (September 4, 2022) – A 22-year-old male was struck and killed overnight in the West Loop, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Police said the man, who has now been identified as Enrique Martinez of Chicago, was walking southbound in the 0 to 100 block of North Ogden Avenue at 5:15 a.m. when a dark-colored car hit him. EMTs arrived soon after the accident and attempted life-saving treatment but pronounced Martinez deceased at the scene.
Though no one has been taken into custody as of yet, police from Area 3 have begun their investigation. Officers asked any witnesses in the area at the time of the collision to come forward.
