Chicago, IL – I-94/Bishop Ford Scene of Injury-Causing Wreck at Sibley Blvd

Chicago, IL - I-94/Bishop Ford Scene of Injury-Causing Wreck at Sibley Blvd

Chicago, IL (January 26, 2023) – On Thursday evening, January 26, Chicago Police Department officers reported that one individual received major injuries in a multi-vehicle crash in the Chicago region.

Just before 9:30 p.m., a significant collision happened on I-94/Bishop Ford Inbound near the Sibley Boulevard exit. At least one person was brought to the hospital by Chicago’s emergency services and local paramedics; however, the degree of their injuries is unknown.

As a result of the multi-car incident, traffic in the region was delayed by two hours. By late that evening, the location had been cleared by the Chicago Police Department, but they maintain that their investigation is continuing.

Our thoughts are extended to the wounded victims and their families.

Chicagoland Car Crashes

In at least one recent year in Illinois, at least 90,000 people were killed or injured as a result of car accidents. Studies suggest that driving under the influence, excessive speed, and collisions with immovable or immobile objects are the three biggest causes of mortality in vehicular accidents, especially in and around large metros like Chicago.

Moreover, the bulk of traffic accidents in Cook County and its surrounds occur at junctions or on highways. Statistics from the most recent year suggest that more than one-fourth of all car accidents in Illinois occur in the Chicago metropolitan region.

If you were hurt in a car accident that was someone else’s responsibility, common sense would imply the driver should pay for your medical costs and other losses. Victims not only have to deal with the physical pain of their injuries, but also the mental agony and stress of worrying about how they will pay for their medical care.

If you or a loved one were harmed as a consequence of one of these accidents, you could be qualified to make a claim. In the event that you were wounded in a vehicle accident that was not your fault in Chicago, you should visit an attorney quickly.

You may bring a personal injury lawsuit against the negligent motorist who caused your injuries in Illinois. This is why, right after an accident, victims in Illinois should get in touch with a lawyer. When you employ an experienced attorney, you guarantee you have the greatest opportunity of achieving justice and fair, complete recompense.
