Chicago, IL - Injuries Reported in I-355 Car Accident at Finley Rd in Downers Grove

Chicago, IL (July 11, 2022) – According to the Illinois State Police and the Chicago Police Department, a serious incident on I-355 in the Downers Grove area on July 11, Monday night, resulted in several injuries.

The Veterans Memorial Tollway was closed for nearly a mile as a result of the incident at Finley Road, and the region near Roosevelt Road was particularly congested. Authorities in the area provided just a few more details, stating that police arrived at the scene of the two-vehicle incident at roughly 6:15 p.m.

Additionally, preliminary reports indicate that one person was taken to a nearby hospital with significant injuries. While the investigation was still continuing and multiple lanes of Interstate 355 were shut down for over an hour, officials were unable to provide any other information.

We hope that everyone hurt in this car collision recovers quickly.

Automobile Accident Victims in Chicago

Three million people live in Chicago, the third-largest metropolis in the country, and millions more visit each year. The sheer volume of traffic on Chicago’s freeways makes it unsurprising that there are hundreds of car accidents every year.

Some people would be shocked to learn that the number of fatal car accidents rose despite the coronavirus epidemic, instructions to remain at home, and social isolation. According to the Illinois Department of Transportation’s most current forecasts, speeding will significantly increase in 2020. Officials believe that this change in driving habits was mostly caused by the lack of available cars.

The majority of traffic fatalities occurred on the busiest streets in the city, and many of them were brought on by drunk driving, excessive speeding, and careless driving. Chicago’s county of Cook was the most hazardous one for motorists.

As a result, those injured in car accidents brought on by someone else’s carelessness are especially weak. Even worse, women often have to pay for their own medical expenses. Some of the victims of these wounds must also deal with the psychological suffering brought on by soaring medical costs, excruciating long-term pain, and rehabilitation.

You could be qualified to bring a case if at least one of these circumstances holds true for you. Regardless of the circumstances, you should contact a skilled Chicago car accident attorney as soon as possible if you were hurt in an accident that wasn’t your fault.

Anyone injured in an automobile accident in Illinois that might have been prevented owing to the carelessness or negligence of another motorist is entitled to full and just compensation for their losses and suffering. The sooner an accident victim in Illinois seeks legal representation after the incident, the better their chances are of recovering a sizable financial settlement from at-fault drivers or insurance providers.
