Chicago, IL (October 31, 2022) – At least one person was seriously hurt in a car accident on Interstate 90/94 in the Chicago region on Monday evening.

A major accident on I-90/94 Dan Ryan Outbound near 31st Street occurred at roughly 4:45 p.m. At least one patient was taken to the hospital by Chicago EMTs, but the patient’s status is currently unknown.

There were hours of backups due to the collision. Chicago PD investigators had already cleared the scene by late that night.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery.

Chicago-area Auto Accident Injuries

More than 96,000 people were hurt or killed in car accidents in Illinois last year, according to official statistics. More than a thousand horrific things happened, and almost 970 individuals lost their lives as a result. According to official reports, the leading causes of fatal car accidents are high speeds, impaired driving, and collisions with fixed objects.

In and around Cook County, the majority of traffic accidents happen at busy intersections. Recent state statistics reveal that the Chicago metropolitan area is home to more than a quarter of all auto accidents in the state of Illinois.

The negligent driver who causes an avoidable traffic collision must pay for the damages caused to the victim. This holds true regardless of how the discussion ends. In addition to skyrocketing medical bills, horrific injuries, and other financial worries, patients must deal with the stress and agony of mental anguish.

In the event that you or a loved one have suffered because of one of these diseases, you may be able to take legal action. If you have been in an automobile accident in Chicago and you were not at fault, you should contact a lawyer as soon as possible.

If you were hurt in an auto accident in Illinois that was the fault of another driver, you have the right to hold that person accountable and demand that they pay for your injuries in full. It is highly recommended that victims of vehicle accidents in Illinois see an attorney as soon as possible after their accident since doing so on their own may make it extremely difficult to obtain enough compensation from the drivers at blame or their insurance companies.
