Moreover, according to recent traffic studies, intoxicated driving, speeding, and crashes into stationary objects are the top three causes of fatalities in automobile accidents.
Most automobile accidents in Cook County and its surrounding areas occur at intersections. In fact, statistics from the most recent year show that more than a quarter of all Illinois vehicle accidents occur in the Chicago metropolitan region.
If you were hurt in a traffic accident that might have been avoided, the driver who caused it should be held accountable. This is particularly apt since victims have to deal with the mental trauma of their injuries and the stress and frustration of worrying about how they will pay for their hospital bills, ongoing treatment, and other connected expenses.
