Chicago, IL – Six Hurt in Hit-and-Run Crash on N Wabash Ave
Chicago, IL (January 22, 2023) — On Saturday, six individuals, including four pedestrians, were hurt in a major hit-and-run accident in River North.
Just after 7:45 p.m., the collision occurred in the 600 block of North Wabash Avenue, according to police.
A male motorist hit a westbound Toyota Prius in a black 2012 Chevy sedan as it was moving through traffic. Per authorities, the Chevy sedan then ran over four people who were crossing the street at a corner.
A 26-year-old woman was sent in serious condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. A 30-year-old male and a 28-year-old woman were brought to the same hospital in fair condition.
Another 30-year-old man, the fourth pedestrian, was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition. According to authorities, the 30-year-old male driver and the 30-year-old female passenger of the Prius were also brought to the hospital in good condition.
Meanwhile, a woman and two males traveling in a Chevy left the scene and are not yet in custody.
