Bus Accidents in Illinois

Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration data indicate that over eighty school buses, fifteen municipal buses, and seventy-five transit buses were involved in fatal car incidents in 2019. Especially in urban regions such as the Chicagoland area, transit bus accidents remain common. Every day, at least one Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) bus is involved in an accident, according to the most current investigation by Illinois officials.

When a bus accident occurs, it is not unusual for there to be a significant number of claimants, each of whom may have suffered distinct injuries requiring varying degrees of medical care. Moreover, the sheer size and strength of a bus increase the likelihood that victims of these incidents would receive a number of severe injuries, including but not limited to severe whiplash, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and more.
