Chicago, IL (October 17, 2022) – As of Monday evening, the 17th of October, one individual was moderately injured in a car accident on Interstate 90 in the Chicago area.

At around 10:45 p.m., a massive collision happened on I-90 Kennedy at Cumberland Avenue. Chicago EMS personnel rushed at least one patient to the hospital, but that patient’s condition is unclear at this time.

Our thoughts are with the wounded victims and their families. We hope for their complete recovery.

Injuries Sustained in Chicagoland Vehicle Crashes

About 95,000 or more persons in Illinois were either wounded or killed in car accidents in 2017. The almost a thousand terrible things that happened led to the deaths of roughly 970 individuals. The three leading causes of fatal automobile accidents are excessive speeding, drunk driving, and collisions with fixed objects.

The majority of automobile accidents in Cook County occur at or near busy intersections. Statistics from the last several years reveal that more than a quarter of all vehicle accidents in the state of Illinois occur in the greater Chicago region.

Every victim of a traffic accident that might have been avoided should be compensated for their financial losses by the careless driver. As the conversation closes down, one reality remains. Patients already have to cope with the stress and suffering of mental anguish in addition to escalating medical expenditures, major injuries, and other financial issues.

You may have legal recourse if you or a loved one has been harmed by having to cope with any of these problems. You need to talk to a lawyer right away if you were harmed in a car accident in Chicago that wasn’t your fault.
