Chicago, IL (June 18, 2022) – According to local authorities, a multiple-vehicle crash occurred in the wider Chicago metro region on Saturday afternoon, June 18.

A four-door sedan collided with another passenger vehicle in the right lanes of Interstate 57 northbound at 107th Street, per Chicago Police reports. Both automobiles were traveling between the right lanes and the exit ramp when the collision occurred at 3:25 p.m., causing traffic to back up for more than a mile to 123rd Street.

Two victims were believed to have suffered minor injuries, but there is no information on their current medical status. Both are expected to recover, however.

No tickets or charges have been issued in connection with the incident, authorities stated. Despite this, the investigation into the circumstances behind the incident is still underway.

We are thinking about the accident victims who have been injured and wish them a speedy recovery.

Injuries Recorded in Chicago Car Accidents

According to statistics from Illinois, there were approximately 67,400 vehicle accidents with at least 94,100 injuries. In addition, there were over 950 fatal incidents that killed well over 980 persons. The majority of deadly accidents, according to the police, were caused by vehicles colliding with immovable objects, intoxicated or drugged drivers, and excessive speed.

Sadly, these and other types of traffic collisions are all too common in and around Cook County, with many occurring at heavily used junctions. According to the most recent state data, about one-fourth of all auto accidents in the Prairie State occur in the Chicago metropolitan region.

Victims of avoidable traffic accidents who are injured due to the carelessness of another bear the brunt of the consequences. Regardless matter how the situation occurred, this is true. In addition to increasing medical expenses, horrible physical injuries, and other financial worries, sufferers must also deal with the stress and misery of mental suffering.

If you were injured or a family member was killed as a consequence of one of these circumstances, you may be eligible to pursue a number of legal options. If you were engaged in an accident that was not your fault, you should immediately contact a Chicago car accident attorney.

If another driver’s carelessness or inattention caused your injuries in a vehicle accident in Illinois, you have the legal right to seek justice and full and fair compensation.
