Injuries and Accidents in the Greater Chicago Area
According to data gathered from police departments, there were over 97,000 accidents involving drivers from Illinois in 2013. Regrettably, over 1,025 people have lost their lives in these 910 events. Drunk driving, hitting a stationary object, and going too fast are the three most common causes of fatal car accidents.
High-traffic intersections and four- and six-lane motorways account for the bulk of Cook County’s fatalities and serious injuries. What’s more, well over a quarter of all traffic accidents in Illinois occur in the Chicago metropolitan area, according to previously published statistics.
Those who suffer harm in automobile accidents are frequently the ones who must pay the price for the carelessness of others. People tend to only consider the physical consequences of an accident and not the psychological or financial aftereffects. Those who have endured mental anguish as a direct result of the catastrophe can also seek compensation. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with a Chicago attorney if you feel you were wrongfully accused of causing an automobile accident.
The law in Illinois allows you to seek compensation from the at-fault driver if they caused an accident that resulted in your injuries.
