Illinois Motorcycle Crashes & Serious Injuries

Motorcycle accidents occur far too frequently in the state of Illinois, especially in densely populated areas like Chicago. Consequently, victims of these occurrences frequently sustain life-threatening injuries. More than 80% of motorcycle accidents result in serious injuries, according to the most recent data compiled by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Three out of ten motorcyclists who are hurt get serious injuries from which they won’t be able to ride again for months or perhaps years. Injuries sustained in motorcycle accidents such as these can prove fatal for the rider. Motorcycle riders are far more vulnerable to road hazards than vehicle drivers because motorcycles lack many of the preventative and defensive safety features found in cars.

When these people are killed in a tragic event that was not their fault, their loved ones bear the emotional and financial burden of their loss. If you or a loved one were wounded in a motorcycle accident that was someone else’s fault, you might be able to take legal action against the responsible person. If a family member is murdered in a preventable Chicago accident, you should speak with an attorney about your legal options as soon as possible.

Our firm, D&W Law, is firm in its belief that no grieving family should have to go it alone in its pursuit of justice and appropriate compensation following a loved one’s death.
