Stevenson, IL – Multi-Vehicle Wreck, Injuries on I-55 at La Grange Rd

Stevenson, IL (June 8, 2022) – According to local officials, a multiple-vehicle incident occurred in the Stevenson area on Wednesday afternoon, June 8.

The apparent rear-end collision happened when a passenger vehicle traveling on Interstate 55 Outbound at La Grange Road collided with another driver in the right lanes around 2:05 p.m., according to Stevenson Police.

Two persons were injured, but their present status is unclear. They suffered minor to moderate injuries and are both expected to recover.

Authorities said no charges are pending in connection with the incident at this time, although the investigation is still ongoing. While officers worked to clear the area, traffic was backed up all the way to 1st Avenue for around an hour.
