Rate of Car Accidents Across Chicago

In one recent year alone, well over 1,020 individuals were killed in 910 separate instances throughout the state of Illinois. It has been shown that the primary causes of fatal automotive accidents in the state include high speeds, collisions with stationary objects, and driver distraction.

Four- and six-lane roadways account for the great majority of deaths and severe injuries in Cook County. To add insult to injury, close to 27% of all accidents in the state of Illinois occur in the Chicago metropolitan area.

Typically, when someone else causes an accident, the victims must bear the costs. In the aftermath of such disasters, mental and financial damage may be equally as devastating as physical injuries. Anyone in Chicago who is injured in an automobile accident that they feel was caused by another driver’s negligence should immediately contact an attorney.
