Chicago’s Rate of Highway Crashes

There were more than 1,025 fatalities over 910 auto incidents in Illinois in 2013. Analysts have shown that speeding, colliding with a stationary object, and driver distraction are the most common causes of fatal car accidents in the state.

Four- and six-lane roads account for the vast majority of fatalities and serious injuries in Cook County. In addition, the Chicago area accounts for 26 percent of all accidents in the state of Illinois.

Victims of accidents frequently have to pay for the carelessness of other drivers. Damage to one’s mind and wallet in the wake of such tragic occurrences may be just as devastating as physical harm. Accident victims in Chicago who were hurt due to another driver’s carelessness should get in touch with a lawyer right once.
