Chicagoland Bicycle Accident Injuries
Accidents involving bicycles are all too common in Chicago and a major source of worry for city officials. Between 2012 and 2019, an average of six bicyclists each year perished in Chicago, according to state statistics. Additionally, the frequency of fatal occurrences is growing.
Bicyclists engaged in automobile collisions often have catastrophic injuries, including traumatic brain injuries, extensive scarring, and bone fractures, among others. These patients may need emergency surgery or severe medical care, which might take weeks or months to recuperate.
Sadly, a significant number of these patients die as a result of their injuries. And when these victims are murdered in an accident that was not their fault, their bereaved family members are forced to suffer tremendous mental agony as well as significant financial repercussions.
If you were injured or lost a loved one in a bicycle accident caused by someone else’s carelessness, you may have many legal options available to you. If you have lost a loved one in an accident that may have been averted, call a car accident lawyer in Chicago immediately.
