Chicago, IL – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on I-94 at 111th St Under Investigation

Chicago, IL (January 15, 2023) — On Sunday morning, a collision on the Bishop Ford Expressway reportedly resulted in one fatality.

According to Illinois State Police, troopers were called to an accident involving a car and a pedestrian on I-94 close to 111th Street at about 5:00 a.m.

State police said that the pedestrian had been declared deceased at this scene, and news footage showed a rolled vehicle at the site. Per the ISP, a trooper was trying to direct traffic when a second collision occurred. The squad car’s rear was struck by a car, but the trooper was unharmed.
