Chicago, IL – Four Hurt in Three-Vehicle Crash at 103rd St & Cottage Grove Ave

Chicago, IL - Four Hurt in Three-Vehicle Crash at 103rd St & Cottage Grove Ave

Chicago, IL (November 28, 2022) – On the same roadway where a fatal pileup happened only two days earlier, a three-vehicle collision in the Pullman area of Chicago’s South Side wounded four individuals.

On Friday afternoon, the collision occurred at 103rd Street and Cottage Grove Avenue. According to the police, an SUV driven by a 75-year-old man collided with another SUV driven by a 16-year-old girl as she tried to turn left into 103rd Street from Cottage Grove.

Per authorities, a Ford Escape with two women, aged 22 and 24, was also hit. The two women were both seriously hurt and taken by ambulance to the University of Chicago Hospital.

The 75-year-old motorist was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center with minor injuries and was reported to be in fair condition. The 16-year-old driver was also sent to the University of Chicago in good condition after suffering minor injuries.

Despite the fact that an investigation is still ongoing, police claimed no citations have yet been issued.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their loved ones in hopes of their full recovery.

Chicago-area Traffic Collisions

In 2017, there were around 96,000 traffic-related injuries and fatalities in Illinois. There were roughly a thousand of these incidents, and as a result, about 970 people lost their lives. According to reports, the three main factors contributing to deadly car accidents are driving too fast, driving while intoxicated, and collisions with stationary objects.

Most car accidents in and around Cook County occur at busy junctions. According to recent state figures, the Chicago metropolitan area accounts for more than 25% of all car accidents in Illinois.

The motorist who was at fault for the traffic incident must pay for any financial losses sustained as a result that might have been avoided. No matter how the conversation ends, one thing is still true. Patients must manage their physical and emotional pain in addition to the stress and misery of mounting medical costs, major injuries, and other financial worries.

You may be able to file a lawsuit if one of these disorders has caused injury to you or a loved one. If you were hurt in a car accident in Chicago that wasn’t your fault, you should speak with a lawyer right once.

If you suffer injuries in a car accident in Illinois that was someone else’s fault, you have the legal right to sue that driver for damages. In Illinois, accident victims should see a lawyer as soon as possible following a collision since waiting might make it more difficult to negotiate a fair settlement with the at-fault drivers and their insurance companies.

  • "Excellent Law Firm!"

I cannot recommend D&W Law Group enough. From the moment I met the team, I felt confident that I was in good hands. They kept in touch with me every step of the way. My attorneys fought the insurance company, and we settled my case without having to go to court. Excellent law firm!

  • "Great Settlement"

When I had my accident, the insurance company dragged its feet. I tried to handle the case on my own. I am so glad I decided to hire D&W Law Group. They kept my case moving, and I was awarded a great settlement. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do I will call them.
