Car Accident Injuries in Chicago

With a population of three million, Chicago is the third-largest city in the country and welcomes millions of visitors each year. Unfortunately, as a result of the heavy traffic in the city, hundreds of car accidents happen on Chicago’s roadways every year.

Despite the coronavirus epidemic, advisories to remain at home, and social isolation, the number of fatal traffic accidents increased. According to the Illinois Department of Transportation, speeding is expected to increase considerably during the next few years, endangering even more motorists.

The fatalities that happened on the city’s roadways in recent years were mostly caused by drunk driving, excessive speeding, and reckless driving. In Chicago, Cook County has one of the highest rates of serious accidents, particularly on the multi-lane highways where driving is the most hazardous.

As a result, those who have been hurt in car accidents as a result of someone else’s carelessness are at higher risk. Additionally, they often pay for their medical bills out of pocket, compounding the financial complications resulting from an accident. What’s more, a catastrophic injury may be accompanied by emotional suffering due to rising medical expenses, excruciating long-term pain, and the need for self-rehabilitation.

However, damages may be awarded to the victims in the event that the at-fault driver was careless or negligent and caused the accident. Needless to say, it’s essential to contact a qualified Illinois accident lawyer as soon as possible if you’ve been hurt in a vehicle accident in the state of Illinois.

  • "Excellent Law Firm!"

I cannot recommend D&W Law Group enough. From the moment I met the team, I felt confident that I was in good hands. They kept in touch with me every step of the way. My attorneys fought the insurance company, and we settled my case without having to go to court. Excellent law firm!

  • "Great Settlement"

When I had my accident, the insurance company dragged its feet. I tried to handle the case on my own. I am so glad I decided to hire D&W Law Group. They kept my case moving, and I was awarded a great settlement. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do I will call them.
