Victims Hurt in Chicago Car Accidents

Three million people call Chicago, the third-largest city in the country, home, and millions more visit each year. Given the volume of drivers on Chicago’s freeways, it is not unexpected that there are thousands of car accidents every year.

Some people would be surprised to learn that there was an increase in fatal car accidents in spite of the coronavirus outbreak, stay-at-home orders, and social isolation. According to the latest estimates from the Illinois Department of Transportation, speeding increased significantly in 2020. Officials believe that this change in driving behavior was mostly caused by the lack of vehicles.

The majority of traffic fatalities occurred on busy streets across the city, and many of them were brought on by drunk driving, excessive speeding, and careless driving. Illinois’s Cook County, home to Chicago, was the most hazardous for drivers.

As a result, those injured in car accidents brought on by someone else’s carelessness are especially weak. To make matters worse, women often have to pay their own medical expenses. Some of the individuals who suffer from these wounds also have to deal with the mental suffering that comes with mounting medical costs, excruciating long-term pain, and rehabilitation.

Fortunately, if you fall under at least one of these circumstances, you may be able to bring a case. If you were hurt in an accident that wasn’t your fault, you should contact an experienced Chicago car accident lawyer right once, regardless matter the circumstances of your mishap.

In Illinois, anybody injured in an automobile accident that another driver’s negligence or carelessness might have prevented has a legal right to full and just compensation for their losses and suffering. In Illinois, the sooner an accident victim seeks legal representation after the incident, the better their chances are of recovering significant financial compensation from at-fault drivers or insurance companies.

  • "Excellent Law Firm!"

I cannot recommend D&W Law Group enough. From the moment I met the team, I felt confident that I was in good hands. They kept in touch with me every step of the way. My attorneys fought the insurance company, and we settled my case without having to go to court. Excellent law firm!

  • "Great Settlement"

When I had my accident, the insurance company dragged its feet. I tried to handle the case on my own. I am so glad I decided to hire D&W Law Group. They kept my case moving, and I was awarded a great settlement. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do I will call them.
