Chicago, IL - I-57 Site of Injury Vehicle Accident, Fire at 120th St

Chicago, IL (October 27, 2022) – The Chicago Police Department responded to a collision between two vehicles on the right shoulder of Interstate 57 on the evening of October 27.

At around 8:20 p.m., police investigators began their investigation on the 120th Street side of southbound I-57. Emergency medical technicians hurried to the scene to investigate the incident and treat any injured persons, while responding authorities reported substantial delays in traffic returning to Tri-State Tollway. The first collision created a car fire, which was put out by Chicago Fire Rescue units.

Although at least two people were seen being transported to a nearby hospital on broadcast video, no official tally has been made of the wounded.

The police, however, have not released any new details. The Chicago Police Department is continuing its investigation and has urged that anybody with new information regarding the incident contact them.

We hope that those who were hurt in today’s accident may make a full and rapid recovery.

Car Crashes with Injuries in Chicago

More than 1,025 people have lost their lives as a consequence of 910 accidents in the state of Illinois in 2013. According to studies of fatal car accidents throughout the state, the top three causes are driver inattention, colliding with a stationary object, and excessive speed.

Although fatalities and serious injuries sometimes occur on two-lane roadways, the great majority occur on four- and six-lane highways in Cook County. Furthermore, 25% of all accidents in Illinois occur in the Chicago metropolitan region.

Accident victims often bear the costs of another driver’s negligence. Furthermore, following these terrible accidents, harm to one’s head and pocketbook might be just as devastating as damaged bones. Any Chicagoan hurt in a car accident caused by another driver’s carelessness should, of course, contact an attorney right once.

If you were wounded in a vehicle accident that wasn’t your fault, you may file a lawsuit in Illinois and seek compensation for your losses. • "Excellent Law Firm!"

I cannot recommend D&W Law Group enough. From the moment I met the team, I felt confident that I was in good hands. They kept in touch with me every step of the way. My attorneys fought the insurance company, and we settled my case without having to go to court. Excellent law firm!

  • "Great Settlement"

When I had my accident, the insurance company dragged its feet. I tried to handle the case on my own. I am so glad I decided to hire D&W Law Group. They kept my case moving, and I was awarded a great settlement. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do I will call them.
