Traffic Wrecks in Chicagoland
Every year, the Federal Highway Administration (FHA) receives reports of almost 2.5 million accidents on major highways, interstates, and other high-traffic locations involving numerous drivers. Careless drivers and persons making left turns are usually to blame for these mishaps. According to official data, more than 43% of all car accidents in the U.S. happen at these intersections.
Unfortunately, many Cook County accidents occur at the county’s busiest intersections. According to local authorities, one-quarter of all traffic accidents in Illinois occur in and around the Chicago metropolitan area.
When someone else’s negligence results in an injury, the burden of dealing with the aftermath falls squarely on the shoulders of the victim and their loved ones. This is true regardless of what led to the accident. Victims must endure mental agony, physical pain, and financial hardship as a result of this tragedy.
You may be able to take legal action if you or a loved one were hurt in one of these incidents or if someone you care about died as a result.
If you’ve been in a vehicle crash in Chicago and it wasn’t your fault, you should see a lawyer without delay.
