Chicago, IL – Injuries Reported in Multi-Car Wreck on I-55 at Rte 126
Chicago, IL (April 23, 2023) – According to local authorities on Sunday, April 23, two vehicles collided in the Chicago area, leading to several victim injuries.
Chicago Police Department officers said that one passenger vehicle rolled over after colliding with another sedan on Interstate 55 southbound at Route 126. When the collision occurred around 7:40 p.m., both cars were merging between the right lanes, and officers added that another car might have been involved after the initial collision.
Authorities don’t know the current conditions of the wounded victims but said that at least two to three people were transferred to an area medical center.
The police said no charges are being considered at this time in connection with the event. However, the investigation is still underway.
