Car Accidents in Illinois

Car crashes in Illinois leave more than 52,000 people with injuries annually. Unfortunately, we see a significant number of injured parties left with traumatic brain injuries, internal organ injuries, and severe compound fractures following their accidents.

There are many instances where people are left with debilitating and life-altering injuries as a result of drivers who engage in reckless actions while behind the wheel. When drivers continue to make careless decisions while behind the wheel, they continue to place the lives of innocent people at harm.

Driving too fast for the weather and road conditions is one of the most common causes of vehicle crashes here in Chicago. When the speeds of vehicles get too high, it becomes harder for drivers to react properly when they encounter obstacles in the road ahead, like stopped cars or pedestrians in the way. Many drivers feel rushed and end up making careless decisions that lead to accidents.

Passing traffic control devices at intersections, such as stop signs or red lights, is also a common cause of car accidents. Drivers who are unfamiliar with the area often try to take shortcuts through traffic circles or stop signs without fully comprehending the consequences.

These and other acts of negligence continue to cause harm to innocent drivers and passengers sharing the road. If you’ve been hurt as a result of another driver’s reckless actions, a Chicago car accident lawyer can help you seek financial compensation for your damages.

If you have been injured in a car crash, it is important to contact a personal injury lawyer as soon as possible.
