In 2013, there were around 97,000 auto incidents involving Illinois drivers, according to the state’s collision statistics. Drunk driving, striking an immovable object, and excessive speed are the three major causes of fatal automobile accidents.
In Cook County, the majority of deaths and serious injuries occur at high-volume crossings and on four- and six-lane motorways. According to previously released figures, more than a quarter of all traffic accidents in Illinois occur in the Chicago metropolitan region.
Unfortunately, the victims of vehicle accidents are sometimes forced to pay for the carelessness of others. But thankfully, those who have suffered emotionally due to an accident may also submit a claim for compensation. If you were not responsible for the vehicle accident that caused you to suffer injuries, you should contact a Chicago attorney immediately.
