Chicago, IL – Man in Critical Condition, Three Hurt in Head-on Crash on Chicago Ave
Chicago, IL (April 7, 2023) – In the early morning hours of Friday, April 7, a collision in the South Chicago area left one man in critical condition and three others wounded.
According to fire officials, a vehicle traveling eastbound in the 8100 block of South Chicago Avenue collided head-on with another vehicle around 2:00 a.m.
Police reported that a 47-year-old male in the second vehicle sustained a serious head injury and was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition. The other two passengers in his vehicle, identified only as 47-year-old men, were transferred to the University of Chicago for treatment of minor injuries.
The driver and passenger in the second vehicle, both aged 26, were also taken to the University of Chicago by paramedics in excellent condition with minor injuries.
In the interim, an investigation remains active and ongoing. No additional details have been provided.
