Chicago, IL – Multi-Vehicle Wreck, Injuries on I-290 at Harlem Ave

Chicago, IL - Multi-Vehicle Wreck, Injuries on I-290 at Harlem Ave

Chicago, IL (December 19, 2022) – On Monday, December 19, two automobiles crashed on a major highway in the Chicago region, requiring the deployment of several law enforcement vehicles and local Chicagoland first responders.

At about 5:35 p.m., officers from the Chicago Police Department were sent to the westbound I-290. The right lanes of traffic between Harlem Avenue and Racine Avenue were restricted due to a collision involving two vehicles. Emergency services reportedly transported one patient to a hospital in the Chicago region.

Despite this, investigators are still looking into the case, but they have uncovered nothing new thus yet. In the interim, the CPD has issued a call for help from anybody who may know anything about the accident.

Our thoughts remain with the wounded victims and their families at this time.

Auto Accident Data in the Greater Chicago Area

According to studies of traffic accidents, there were over 97,000 automotive occurrences in Illinois in 2013. There were over 1,025 deaths from over 910 incidents. Most fatal automobile accidents include one or more of the following three factors: driving under the influence of alcohol, colliding with a stationary object, or traveling at an unsafely high speed.

Most accidents and severe injuries occur at the most dangerous intersections in Cook County. Over a quarter of all traffic accidents in the state of Illinois occur in the greater Chicago metropolitan area, according to newly published statistics.

Victims of automobile accidents sometimes end themselves footing the bill for someone else’s recklessness. Physical harm may have serious emotional and financial consequences that are frequently overlooked.

In addition to physical injuries, victims may seek recompense for the mental anguish they’ve experienced as a consequence of the catastrophe. If the car accident was not your fault, you should get in touch with a lawyer in Chicago right once.

  • "Excellent Law Firm!"

I cannot recommend D&W Law Group enough. From the moment I met the team, I felt confident that I was in good hands. They kept in touch with me every step of the way. My attorneys fought the insurance company, and we settled my case without having to go to court. Excellent law firm!

  • "Great Settlement"

When I had my accident, the insurance company dragged its feet. I tried to handle the case on my own. I am so glad I decided to hire D&W Law Group. They kept my case moving, and I was awarded a great settlement. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do I will call them.
