Chicago, IL - Richard Wetterholm & Mary Gulbranson Killed in Fatal Rollover on S Hough St near Sturtz St

Chicago, IL (March 3, 2023) – An elderly woman and man, identified as Ruchard Wetterholm, age 85, of Wheeling, and Mary Gulbranson, 78, of Barrington, were killed early Thursday morning in a single-vehicle rollover accident in suburban Barrington, according to information provided by police. 

The wreck happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. on South Hough Street near Sturtz Street. Information from local news sources shows a red vehicle was heavily damaged at the crash scene. It came to rest along a grassy area and a sidewalk, sources said. 

Both the passenger and driver were pronounced deceased on-site by medical professionals. At this time, it remains unclear who was driving at the time of the collision. 

Barrington Road was closed from route 59 to Main Street while emergency crews worked at the crash scene. Authorities in Chicago continue to investigate the details of the incident.
