Chicago, IL – Three Hospitalized After Major Car Crash on DuSable Lake Shore Dr at Bryn Mawr
Chicago, IL (August 19, 2022) – According to Chicago fire officials, a collision on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in the Edgewater area has reportedly injured at least three individuals.
Authorities with the Chicago Fire Department stated that the accident occurred around 3:30 p.m. on DuSable Lake Shore Drive near the Bryn Mawr exit. Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered that the collision was blocking both the northbound and southbound lanes, and three drivers were involved.
Two of the injured victims were sent to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, while a third was transported to St. Francis Hospital, according to authorities. Their conditions are unknown at the time.
No information has been published regarding the cause of the crash or the number of people involved. Due to an investigation, two of the four southbound and northbound lanes of DuSable Lake Shore Drive were restricted; drivers were asked to seek alternate routes and be prepared for traffic delays.
