Chicago, IL – Three Hurt in Eight-Car Crash on N Main Rd Near Rockton
Chicago, IL (December 26, 2022) – According to emergency personnel, three individuals were wounded in an eight-car collision near Rockford as severe winter weather pummeled the Chicago region.
The Rockton Fire Protection District reported on Facebook that at about 4:00 p.m. on Friday, firefighters rushed to the incident in the 8800 block of North Main Road, where they endured “treacherous” sub-zero, near white-out conditions.
Officials with the Rockton Fire Department said that eight automobiles were involved in a crash but that no one was badly hurt. Three persons required medical attention in this case and were transported to a nearby facility.
Officials indicated the route would be blocked for quite some time.
Thus far, the police investigation has yielded no fresh leads. However, CPD officials have requested that anybody with information about this case get in touch.
