Chicago, IL (January 10, 2023) – On Tuesday night, January 10th, an accident involving many vehicles occurred on Interstate 90 in the Chicago area, injuring one person.

At around 5:50 p.m., a major collision happened on I-90 Kennedy Inbound near Cumberland Avenue. Chicago Emergency Medical Services sent at least one patient to the hospital, but the patient’s condition is still unclear.

The incident caused a two-hour holdup in traffic. The Chicago Police Department had the area completely free around midnight. However, the investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released as of yet.

The wounded victims and their loved ones remain in our thoughts.

Car Accident Injuries in Chicago

About 95,000 individuals in Illinois were injured or killed in car accidents in 2017. About 970 individuals lost their lives due to the roughly a thousand incidents that took place. The three leading causes of fatal automobile accidents are excessive speed, drunk driving, and collisions with stationary objects.

The majority of collisions in Cook County occur at or around heavily used intersections. According to current figures, more than a quarter of all vehicle accidents in Illinois occur in the greater Chicago region.

Every victim of a traffic accident that might have been avoided should be compensated for monetary damages by the careless driver who caused the accident. And in addition to growing medical expenses, major injuries, and other financial issues, patients must also cope with the stress and anguish of a major car accident’s aftermath.
