Illinois Highway Auto Accidents

The Federal Highway Administration (FHA) reports more than 2.5 million highway traffic accidents each year, the majority of which involve impairment, speeding, or inattentive driving. According to officials, these account for 40% of all car collisions across the country, the second most common type of car accident, behind rear-end crashes.

Unfortunately, a huge number of automobile accidents occur in Cook County, particularly on packed interstates and major city junctions. Moreover, per recent state statistics, approximately a quarter of all Illinois automobile accidents occur in and around the Chicago metro area.

Regardless of what caused an accident, victims and their families pay the price when they are injured as a result of the irresponsible conduct of others. Sadly, those who have been touched by these major situations may feel helpless in the face of devastating mental anguish and high medical expenditures.

Fortunately, if you or a loved one has been injured in one of these incidents, you may have a variety of legal alternatives available to you in the aftermath. If you’ve been in an automobile accident that was caused by someone else’s negligence, you should contact a Chicago car accident attorney as soon as possible.

Victims of vehicle accidents caused by another driver’s negligent or inattentive driving are entitled to compensation under Illinois law. However, accident victims should seek skilled legal representation since collecting a full, reasonable monetary settlement from drivers or their insurance companies can be challenging.

  • "Excellent Law Firm!"

I cannot recommend D&W Law Group enough. From the moment I met the team, I felt confident that I was in good hands. They kept in touch with me every step of the way. My attorneys fought the insurance company, and we settled my case without having to go to court. Excellent law firm!

  • "Great Settlement"

When I had my accident, the insurance company dragged its feet. I tried to handle the case on my own. I am so glad I decided to hire D&W Law Group. They kept my case moving, and I was awarded a great settlement. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do I will call them.
