Chicago, IL – Two-Vehicle Wreck, Injuries on I-65 at 93rd Ave

Chicago, IL - Two-Vehicle Wreck, Injuries on I-65 at 93rd Ave

Chicago, IL (November 26, 2022) – On the early afternoon of November 26th, two to three automobiles were involved in a collision on Interstate 65 near Chicago.

The Chicago Police Department and the Illinois State Police both verified the collision and say that local authorities arrived at the site of the crash at around 1:45 p.m., closing the southbound side of I-65 and creating a traffic jam of nearly three miles until emergency services responded. The exit ramp at 93rd Avenue was majorly backed up as a result.

Based on what is known thus far, at least one victim was sent to the emergency room. Inquiries into the initial incident took an hour, during which time authorities remained focused on their on-scene investigation and clearing the scene.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time.

Car Crashes & Injuries in Chicago

With a population of three million, Chicago ranks as the third largest city in the United States. Since there is always a lot of traffic, hundreds of incidents happen every year in the Windy City.

There was an increase in traffic-related deaths despite the coronavirus outbreak, stay-at-home orders, and greater social isolation. The Illinois Department of Transportation projects that by 2020, speeding will have dramatically risen, putting more motorists at risk.

Irresponsible driving, including that of those who were under the influence of alcohol or drugs, resulted in the deaths of many persons on the city’s roads. Cook County is the most dangerous part of Chicago for drivers.

Those who are hurt in vehicle accidents as a result of another driver’s negligence are put in a particularly precarious position as a result. A lot of the time, they also have to foot the bill for their own medical treatment. The emotional toll of a tragic disaster may extend beyond the immediate physical and financial consequences; the thought of a long road to recovery from terrible agony can be devastating in and of itself.

To file a lawsuit, consult an experienced Chicago automobile accident attorney without delay if you or a loved one has been wounded in a collision that wasn’t your fault.

In Illinois, an accident victim has the right to seek financial compensation if they can show that another driver’s carelessness or negligence directly caused or substantially contributed to their injuries. If you want to make sure you get a fair payout from the insurance company or driver who caused your accident in Illinois, you need to hire an attorney as soon as possible after the incident.
