Chicago, IL – Whitley McMiller Killed, Two Hospitalized After Two-Car Crash on Lake Shore Dr
Chicago, IL (September 24, 2022) – Overnight, a collision on DuSable Lake Shore Drive resulted in the death of a woman and the critical injury of three others.
At 1:15 a.m., officers responded to a collision involving a Toyota Corolla and a Kia Forte in the 5300 block of South Lake Shore Drive, according to the police.
A female passenger in the Toyota, later identified as Whitley McMiller, 35, from South Holland, was transported to the University of Chicago Hospital by the Chicago Fire Department. She was subsequently declared deceased.
A 64-year-old female patient was also transferred to the University of Chicago in critical condition. According to fire officials, a 69-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were transported to Northwestern Hospital in critical condition.
The crash’s cause is still being investigated. There is currently no additional information available, though Chicago Police Department officers expect to release further details in the coming week.
