Crystal Lake, IL – Two Hospitalized After SUV Crashes into House on Heather Dr
Crystal Lake, IL (July 28, 2022) – On Wednesday night, July 27, a major accident occurred in the Crystal Lake neighborhood, just outside of Chicago, when an SUV crashed through a home’s garage and became wedged within.
Police in Crystal Lake said that both the driver of the SUV and a person inside the residence had life-threatening injuries. They were transported to area hospitals by helicopter at around 7:00 a.m. from a residence on Heather Drive.
According to the police, it is unknown why the SUV driver veered off the road and struck the home. The Crystal Lake Fire and Rescue Department had to be extricated from the accident.
The blue SUV could be seen protruding from the residence, and the garage looks to have partly collapsed as a result of the collision. However, the inquiry is still underway, and no new information has been supplied.
