Geneva, IL – Two Women Killed, Two Others Hurt in Tow Truck Crash at Kirk Rd & Fabyan Pkwy
Geneva, IL (November 1, 2022) – Two women were killed, and two men suffered injuries in a multiple-vehicle crash that took place on Saturday morning, October 29, and involved a tow truck in west suburban Geneva.
Officers from the Geneva Police Department said the accident happened around 1:00 a.m. at the intersection of Kirk Road and Fabyan Parkway.
A preliminary investigation conducted by the GPD suggested that a 25-year-old Rockford woman traveling in a Dodge Charger hit the driver of a Hyundai Santa Fe on Kirk Road. The collision’s impact caused the Dodge to hit a tow truck waiting to make a left-hand turn onto Fabyan Parkway from Kirk.
The woman driving the Dodge Charger, along with her passenger, were both pronounced dead at the site of the accident.
A 50-year-old North Aurora man, who was behind the wheel of the Hyundai, was airlifted to Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove in critical condition. The 31-year-old tow truck driver was also injured but was treated and released from Delnor Hospital in Geneva.
No charges have been filed, though the crash remains under investigation at this time, police added.
