Hammond, IL – Injuries Reported in Multiple-Car Wreck on I-80/94 at Calumet Ave
Hammond, IL (August 5, 2022) – Due to a collision between two cars on a local route, several authorities were dispatched to the site of the incident, which took place in the Hammond area early on Friday morning, August 5th.
The Hammond Police Department was sent to the site of the crash at 7:50 a.m., and they arrived soon afterwards on westbound Interstate 80/94. Two vehicles traveling in the left three lanes are said to have collided before the Calumet Avenue exit, and it seems that one patient was transported to the hospital by Hammond emergency medical personnel.
Nonetheless, the investigation is still ongoing, and no more information has been provided. HPD officials requested that any witnesses with further information come forward.
