Lincolnwood, IL - Eight Hospitalized in Multi-Vehicle Crash at Touhy & Crawford Aves

Lincolnwood, IL (June 10, 2022) – Officials reported that ten persons were hurt in an accident that took place on Friday afternoon, June 10, in the northern Chicago suburb of Lincolnwood.

Lincolnwood Police Department officials totally shut down the junction of Touhy Avenue and Crawford Avenue for their investigation. Five passengers were reportedly traveling in one of the vehicles involved, and though at least one other driver was also involved, the circumstances regarding the cause of the incident are still unknown.

A spokesperson for the fire service said that eight people were sent to local hospitals for treatment, and at least some had sustained critical injuries. Two others were evaluated and released at the scene.

The police have not provided any additional information on the crash’s circumstances. The wreck is under active investigation at this time.

Our best thoughts and wishes go out to the wounded victims and their families. We wish for their complete and speedy recovery.

Lincolnwood-Area Injury Vehicle Accidents

According to figures gathered by traffic experts at the Federal Highway Administration, well over two million accidents occur annually on main highways and at intersections. The great majority of these crashes are caused by either reckless or left-turning motorists who fail to yield right of way. What’s more, per the latest data supplied by authorities, around 45% of all automobile accidents in the United States occur at these bustling intersections.

Sadly, Cook County has a high prevalence of motor vehicle accidents, most of which occur near crossings with a significant volume of pedestrian and vehicle traffic. In addition, state officials have disclosed that around 27% of all car accidents in Illinois occur on busy roadways in and around the Chicago metropolitan area.

Worse still, if another person’s irresponsibility is the cause of an accident victim’s injuries, the victim still winds up paying for it in every sense of the word. In the aftermath of an accident, victims often must traverse a treacherous road riddled with crippling mental and financial stress as well as costly medical expenses.

Thankfully, a person has the legal right to submit a claim for financial compensation in Illinois if they are injured due to another driver’s negligent or reckless driving. Consequently, it’s essential that those victims who have been injured as a consequence of an accident occurring through no fault of their own must employ the services of a seasonal Chicagoland-area personal injury attorney.

  • "Excellent Law Firm!"

I cannot recommend D&W Law Group enough. From the moment I met the team, I felt confident that I was in good hands. They kept in touch with me every step of the way. My attorneys fought the insurance company, and we settled my case without having to go to court. Excellent law firm!

  • "Great Settlement"

When I had my accident, the insurance company dragged its feet. I tried to handle the case on my own. I am so glad I decided to hire D&W Law Group. They kept my case moving, and I was awarded a great settlement. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do I will call them.
