According to estimates compiled by authorities working for the Federal Highway Administration, there are around 2.5 million accidents that take place on major roads and at crossings every single year. The vast majority of these collisions are brought about by drivers who are either careless or who are attempting to make a left turn. According to the authorities, roughly 44% of all automotive accidents that take place in the United States take place at these crossroads.
Sadly, Cook County is home to a high rate of motor vehicle collisions, the majority of which take place at intersections that are subjected to a large level of foot and vehicular traffic. If the recklessness of another person is what leads an accident victim to sustain injuries, the victim may end up paying for it in every sense of the word if they choose to pursue legal action. In the aftermath of an accident, victims often have to travel a perilous path, one that is fraught with debilitating emotional and financial stress as well as expensive medical expenditures.
In the state of Illinois, a person has the legal right to file a claim for financial compensation if they are injured as a consequence of another driver’s negligent or careless driving and the accident was caused by the other driver’s negligence or recklessness.
