Schaumburg, IL – Carolyn Van Slyck Killed, Three Hospitalized in Four-Car Crash on I-90 at Meacham Rd
Schaumburg, IL (April 27, 2023) – The identity of a driver who died in Thursday’s I-90 accident in the city’s north suburbs has been released.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Illinois State Police confirmed that 40-year-old Palatine resident Carolyn Van Slyck died shortly after 3:30 p.m. Officers say that she was involved in a four-vehicle crash on westbound I-90 before Meacham Road in Schaumburg.
Authorities pronounced Van Slyck dead at the scene, and three other motorists were sent to the hospital.
Police did not immediately release additional details about the collision. An investigation remains ongoing in the interim.
