Stevenson, IL - Two Drivers Collide on I-55 at Cicero Ave, Causing Injuries

Stevenson, IL (October 22, 2022) – On the evening of October 22, officers from Stevenson and Chicago responded to a crash involving two vehicles on the Cicero Avenue exit ramp off Interstate 55.

Police started their inquiry on the Inbound side of the motorway at about 9:40 p.m. Police and paramedics were sent to the area to check for injuries and clear the roadway, causing significant delays on Interstate 55. As a result of the incident, another vehicle caught fire, and firemen from Chicago Fire Rescue responded to the scene.

Local TV video showed at least two people being taken to the hospital, but no official injury count has been issued.

The police, however, have not provided any updates. The Stevenson PD has asked anybody with information to please get in touch.
