University Park, IL – Two Killed in Car Crash on University Parkway near Western Ave
University Park, IL (April 16, 2023) – Two people lost their lives as a result of an automobile accident that took place in the University Park area on Saturday morning, April 15.
Just after 7:40 a.m., two vehicles collided on University Parkway in the area of Western Avenue. The incident caused severe delays in the area due to its blocking of multiple lanes.
Authorities arrived at the scene and located multiple injured victims. Several victims were transported to area hospitals for emergency care. Some of the injured victims were admitted in critical condition.
Two people were fatally injured as a result of the crash. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash is currently being investigated by Will County Sheriff’s Department and the University Park Police Department.
