Traffic Accident Deaths in Illinois

Per data released by traffic experts throughout Illinois and the greater Chicago area, well over 1,000 people lost their lives in accidents statewide in just one recent year. Excessive speed, collisions with stationary objects, and driver distraction are major causes of fatal automobile accidents in the state.

There is an alarming number of deadly accidents on the county’s four- and six-lane highways. To add insult to injury, the Chicago metropolitan area is responsible for just under 30% of all accidents in the state of Illinois.

Many times, drivers’ carelessness is to blame for causing accidents. Being a witness to such occurrences could put you in danger, both physically and psychologically, as well as monetarily. Those in a car crash in Chicago who attribute their injuries to another driver’s carelessness should speak with a lawyer immediately.

In Illinois, a person who suffers injuries in an accident but is not to blame can sue the person or entity they believe is responsible for their injuries in a civil court for monetary damages. If you were recently involved in one in Illinois, you should talk to a lawyer who focuses on auto accidents. Dealing with the negligent driver’s insurance company on your own could be challenging.

  • "Great Settlement"

When I had my accident, the insurance company dragged its feet. I tried to handle the case on my own. I am so glad I decided to hire D&W Law Group. They kept my case moving, and I was awarded a great settlement. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do I will call them.
