Wilmington, IL – Two Dead, One Hospitalized After Vehicle Wreck on Rte 113 at Bauer Rd
Wilmington, IL (March 10, 2023) – On Tuesday, two persons were killed in a major head-on collision in Will County, according to the Illinois State Police.
The collision occurred just south of Wilmington on Route 113 at Bauer Road, per early reports provided by the police. Two automobiles, a pickup truck and a passenger vehicle, were completely engulfed in flames after the incident.
Both deceased victims were traveling in the pickup truck, authorities added. One other passenger was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Around 6:00 a.m., emergency teams were still on the site, and Route 113 between Irish Lane and Bauer Road was blocked as investigators investigated. Since then, all lanes have reopened.
Officials did not immediately release any other details on the accident but say an investigation remains ongoing.
