Chicago, IL - Several Hurt in Vehicle Crash on I-57 Inbound at 103rd St

Chicago, IL (February 24, 2023) – It was reported on Friday, February 24, that an apparent two-vehicle collision in the Chicago area left at least one person with moderate injuries.

At about 11:30 p.m. in the evening, there was a serious accident on I-57 Inbound, not far from the 103rd Street exit. At least one person was taken to the hospital by Chicago’s emergency services, although the extent of their injuries is unknown.

The Chicago Police Department had the site cleared while their investigation was ongoing. No further details have been provided to the public at this time.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families.

Chicagoland Traffic Accidents

In Illinois, about 96,000 people were injured or killed in car accidents in 2017. There were probably a thousand of these incidents, per authorities, and around 970 individuals lost their lives as a consequence. Moreover, according to recent traffic studies, intoxicated driving, speeding, and crashes into stationary objects are the top three causes of fatalities in automobile accidents.

Most automobile accidents in Cook County and its surrounding areas occur at intersections. In fact, statistics from the most recent year show that more than a quarter of all Illinois vehicle accidents occur in the Chicago metropolitan region.

If you were hurt in a traffic accident that might have been avoided, the driver who caused it should be held accountable. This is particularly apt since victims have to deal with the mental trauma of their injuries and the stress and frustration of worrying about how they will pay for their hospital bills, ongoing treatment, and other connected expenses.

If you or a loved one has been hurt because of one of these accidents, you may be entitled to take legal action. If you’ve been harmed in a vehicle accident that wasn’t your fault in Chicago, you should talk to a lawyer immediately.

Thankfully, you may file a personal injury lawsuit in Illinois against the negligent motorist who caused your injuries. Accident victims in Illinois should talk to an attorney as soon as possible following an accident since doing so might make it easier to negotiate a reasonable settlement with the party at fault and their insurance company.

  • "Excellent Law Firm!"

I cannot recommend D&W Law Group enough. From the moment I met the team, I felt confident that I was in good hands. They kept in touch with me every step of the way. My attorneys fought the insurance company, and we settled my case without having to go to court. Excellent law firm!

  • "Great Settlement"

When I had my accident, the insurance company dragged its feet. I tried to handle the case on my own. I am so glad I decided to hire D&W Law Group. They kept my case moving, and I was awarded a great settlement. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do I will call them.
