House Fire Fatalities & Injuries in Chicagoland

Despite the fact that apartment fires are infrequent, around 8% of all fires in apartment complexes caused more than 12% of civilian fatalities and close to 22% of injuries. In addition, around 28% of all fires recorded during the last five years were contained inside residential properties.

In addition, fire departments around the United States responded to an estimated annual average of more than 345,000 residential fires, which resulted in 2,600 fatalities, 11,000 injuries, and close to $7.5 billion in property damage.

Those who have been severely affected by home fires may have the notion that they have nowhere to turn as they battle to deal with continued psychological pain and expensive financial expenditures in the aftermath of the calamity. People who have been injured or whose families have lost a loved one are often forced to fight an uphill battle with insurance companies, causing them to endure unspeakable amounts of agony.

Despite all, there is still a possibility that you have legal options at this terrible time. If you or a loved one has been injured in a fire that was caused by someone else’s negligence, you should contact a Chicago personal injury attorney as soon as possible.

Those who have been hurt due to the negligence of another may pursue a claim for monetary compensation under Illinois law. A claim for unlawful death may be based on any negligence or wrongful conduct that resulted in a fatality. In the event that legal action is filed and successful, all family members and dependents are entitled to monetary compensation.

  • "Great Settlement"

When I had my accident, the insurance company dragged its feet. I tried to handle the case on my own. I am so glad I decided to hire D&W Law Group. They kept my case moving, and I was awarded a great settlement. I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do I will call them.
