Motor Vehicle Accidents & Injuries in Greater Chicago
Every year, more than 2.5 million traffic accidents are recorded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHA) at the nation’s busiest intersections, as well as major highways and interstates. The majority of these incidents are caused by inattentive or left-turning drivers, both on multi-lane thoroughfares and at busy intersections. According to officials, these locales are responsible for more than 40% of all automotive accidents in the United States.
Unfortunately, Cook County has a high rate of motor vehicle crashes, with a disproportionate majority of these occurrences occurring at more crowded intersections. Furthermore, one-fourth of all automotive accidents in Illinois occur in and around the Chicago metropolitan area, according to state officials.
People who are injured as a result of another person’s negligence will suffer the brunt of the incident’s repercussions, along with their families. This is true regardless of the circumstances that lead to the accident. Victims are forced to travel a perilous and harrowing path marked by intense psychological suffering, costly medical expenditures, and financial difficulty.
