A number of persons were hurt at the site of the collision. Local authorities said that the police arrived at the scene of the crash at 5:35 p.m. and that the southbound I-355/Veterans Memorial Tollway at Ogden Avenue was closed for over a mile while emergency personnel worked in the area, and the lanes back to Finley Road were reportedly seeing heavy traffic.
Initial reports indicate that a person with severe injuries was sent to a nearby hospital. While the inquiry continued, authorities could not comment, and more than an hour’s worth of traffic was halted in the meantime. An investigation remains active at this time.
We hope that the victims of this car wreck recover quickly.
Victims of Accidents in Chicago
Chicago, the third-largest city in the United States, has a population of three million people and receives millions of visitors annually. Thus, hundreds of vehicle accidents occur annually on Chicago’s motorways due to the sheer volume of traffic.
Despite the coronavirus epidemic, stay-at-home orders, and social isolation, traffic-related fatalities increased. The Illinois Department of Transportation anticipates that speeding will substantially increase by 2020, placing even more motorists in danger.
Drunk driving, excessive speeding, and reckless driving contributed to a significant number of road fatalities in the city. Cook County is the most hazardous for motorists in Chicago.
Consequently, those wounded in motor vehicle collisions caused by someone else’s carelessness are more vulnerable. Additionally, they are typically required to pay for their own medical treatment. When a person has a severe injury, they may also experience the mental suffering that comes with growing medical expenses, excruciating long-term pain, and rehabilitation.
To file a lawsuit, you must satisfy at least one of the following requirements. If you were wounded in an accident that was not your fault, you should immediately contact a Chicago automobile accident attorney.
If a driver’s carelessness or negligence contributed to an avoidable Illinois vehicle accident, the victim is entitled to full and reasonable compensation for their losses and suffering. Hiring an Illinois accident attorney as soon as feasible is one of the greatest strategies to get a substantial settlement from careless drivers or their insurance companies.
