Chicago, IL – Multiple-Driver Wreck, Injuries on I-80/94 at Clay St

On Behalf of | Oct 20, 2022 | General

Chicago, IL (October 19, 2022) – Multiple police units were dispatched to the scene of a crash involving two automobiles that occurred on a Chicago area route on October 19th.

As soon as dispatch informed the Chicago Police Department of the incident at 10:15 p.m., police were already on eastbound I-80/94. A two-car accident occurred right before the exit for Clay Street, causing a traffic jam that stretched back to I-65. It seems that one victim was also transported to the hospital by emergency services in the Chicago area.

However, the investigation continues despite the lack of new information. The Chicago Police Department has issued a call for witnesses in the meantime.

Our thoughts remain with the injured victims and their families at this time.

Chicagoland Traffic Collisions & Victim Injuries

According to data, there were about 95,000 car accidents in just one recent year in Illinois. Over 920 incidents claimed the lives of about 1,010 people. The three biggest causes of fatal car accidents are intoxicated driving, collisions with stationary objects, and high speeds.

When it comes to deadly and injury-causing accidents in Cook County, many of them occur at or around busy intersections. Statistics show that the greater Chicago metropolitan area accounts for more than a quarter of all traffic accidents in the state of Illinois that were recently made public.

Victims of car accidents are often forced to pay the price for someone else’s carelessness. Significant financial obstacles are associated with treatment, as if the patient’s physical suffering and emotional stress from the event weren’t enough.

The victims may also be paid for the emotional agony they went through as a result of the catastrophe or the wrongful loss of a family member. If you were not responsible for the collision that caused your injuries, you should not wait to contact a Chicago automobile accident attorney.

If another driver’s negligence or illegal behavior caused your automobile accident injuries in Illinois, you have the right to seek justice and financial recompense. Those involved in a car crash in Illinois should not hesitate to contact a lawyer for help. Without legal assistance, you may have trouble obtaining full and reasonable reimbursement from the negligent driver’s insurance carrier.
